K.I.D.S. (Kids' Interest=Dual Support)

K.I.D.S. (Kids' Interest=Dual Support) was organized to keep 2 parents in more kids lives by changing NC custody standard to PRESUMED SHARED PARENTING.  Under the current "child's best interest" standard mothers win custody about 85% of the time & fathers become visitors, which is NOT in the child's best interest.

One third of our children now live without their fathers, & studies clearly show these children have higher rates of teenage pregnancies, high school dropouts, & teen substance abuse & delinquency.  We currently are organizing statewide under www.KN2P.org (KidsNeed2Parents) & have groups in Charlotte, Raleigh, the Triad area, & Fayetteville.  We will expand to Asheville, Wilmington, & Jacksonville if we can find group leaders willing to help make this legislative change.  Meanwhile, please contact your state senator & representative to request their support.
