Current Sessions

Couples Communication
 
Who causes the most communications problems in couples, him or her? The answer is YES.
 
Men in Balance is offering a Couples Communications class with practice conversations using real issues. The class will be facilitated by Emmie Alexander Hancock and Jerry Hancock of Alexander Hancock Associates and Men in Balance.
 
The 2-evening sessions (NEW DATES COMING SOON) will be 7-9PM. Registration is free; a $20 donation per couple is suggested. Limited to 10 couples per session.
 
All materials will be provided. Call the church (704.892.8277) or send an email to jerry@meninbalance.org to register, indicating which session you prefer. Child care is provided. Let us know the ages and number of children you will bring.

Sex and Intimacy
 -Why do men say they want more sex
   but not more conversation?
 -Sex: Men's view vs. Women's view
 -How is sex different from intimacy?
 -Role of communication in an intimate relationship
 
Week 5 :
Family Life
 -How much togetherness do you need?
 -Keeping the whole family involved
 -Teens and family life: special needs?
 -Church attendance and family connection
 
Week 6 :
Christian Life as a Man
 -Making a priority of your spiritual development
 -Being a spiritual leader in your home
 -Keeping your faith real and active
 -Christian life and work/career

Week 7 :
(Optional ) Wrap-up/Review
Free-wheeling discussion of all previous topics,
integrating them into a balanced life; discussion
about continuing to meet or creating other groups;
whatever's on your mind.
